Memphis, TN
Howdy people! Welcome back to the website. A few of my friends had recommended that I should go on atleast one of the Service and Justice Trips, I was like I should atleast try doing it atleast once. So for this spring break, I got to go to Memphis, Tennessee on a Service and Justice Trip through my college. It was super exciting to on this since this was my first Service and Justice Trip and I also had never been to Tennessee. Through out the week, we got volunteer with various organizations such as Mana House, Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministry, Neighborhood Christian Center. It was very liberating to go on one of this trip and just unplug from a lot of technology time because I knew what we were doing is making a difference is someone’s life. Along with this amazing volunteering opportunity, I got to learn so much about the Civil Rights Movement when we went to the Civil Rights Museum.
